Ashes of the Singularity is a real-time strategy game set in humanity’s not-so-distant future. What it means to be human has changed with the coming of the singularity.

In the post-human economy, sentience is now the most valuable commodity in the universe. The only way to acquire more of that is through the control of Turinium – programmable matter – which can extend consciousness to levels we can't even imagine. Worlds are being transformed into this substance and wars are now being fought across the galaxy for control of those worlds.

Each conflict takes place across an entire world. It isn't a skirmish. It's a war. Thousands of units are constantly constructed and sent across the planet with the player directing entire armies, in real time, to capture key resources in an effort to gain total control of the planet.

Offworld Trading Company is a real-time strategy game in which money, not firepower, is the player's weapon. Players lead their developing companies in cutthroat economic warfare against other companies looking to become the dominant economic power on Mars.

Loosely inspired by such classics as M.U.L.E., Offworld Trading Company forces players to make tough choices on what resources to acquire, what goods to build and sell, how to interact with the planet's thriving underworld, and when and what stocks to acquire.

Players compete against up to seven other AI- or player-controlled companies. The game is won when one player ultimately acquires all the shares of their competitors, thereby wresting control of the entire planet’s economy.

“Screeps” is a wordplay for “scripts” and “creeps.” It is an MMO RTS game for programmers in an open persistent shared world. Each player uses JavaScript (or compilers of other languages into JavaScript) to write AI of his or her colony of units (“creeps”) which live and operate in real time even while the player is offline. The game world is generated procedurally and consists of rooms. Players compete for controlling these rooms by mining resources, developing infrastructure, and commanding armies.

Screeps can also be called a sandbox game for programmers since it has no definite goals. Instead, it offers players a fully programmable game world, means to interact with each other within it, and JavaScript API to control game objects. This allows for many possible outcomes for each player and an open-ended nature of the game.
