The abstract and surrealism that cover the art direction, the gameplay and the script of Hylics is the main game strength! Making everything in clay, putting very random dialogue and having a story that feels like a story but actually doesn't go anywhere make this game pure chaos but it's an intriguing and beautiful one.
As a RPG is average, the RPG mechanics are doing their job without being as original as the rest of the game. The beginning is quite punishing but it won't last as you upgrade yourself pretty fast here.
- An original art direction
- An unique and captivating experience
- Some rough animation (especially when you walk on the world map)
