There are many new features added to the 2nd generation of pokemon games. Berries, held items, eggs, new types, new moves, and pokegear. I don't like that most of the new pokemon types are inaccessible prior to Kanto. I wanted to use a Steelix, Houndoom, and Tyranitar in my final team but couldn't. Great 100%

Oh boy. This game is incredible. It might be my favorite game ever. It's taken the original and flipped it on its head. It introduced a clock, a day and night cycle, berries, more exploration, a load of new Pokemon, shinies, 100 new Pokemon, 2 new types, genders, breeding, baby Pokemon, friendship, held items, and so much more.
