Portal is an all-time classic puzzle game - so much so that many others try & fail to copy what made it successful.
And as a game itself, it does stand up to its reputation. The UIs are quite janky in terms of design (though they are quite functional), but that and the bullshit that is gold on all challenges are really the only problems with the game.
The artstyle is great, GLaDOS is easily one of the best villains of all time, and the puzzles are expertly designed. New mechanics are introduced at a great pace - even at the end of the game.
And for those who want more Portal, there's 6 advanced puzzles (one of which is utter bs, but the rest are great), challenges, and a sequel with way more content.
I'd definitely recommend this game.
And I'm making a note here - huge success.
