The Idolmaster Live For You! is a Japanese live simulation video game in THE iDOLM@STER series and a sequel to THE iDOLM@STER. The gameplay in Live For You! focuses on coordinating the concert event from THE iDOLM@STER with higher customization of the songs, stage and costumes. The game features a rhythm minigame during performances, which was developed to add a sense of unity with the audience and add excitement. The player is also able to freely manipulate how the performance looks by adjusting the position of the camera towards the idols. The story is told from the perspective of a special producer in charge of coordinating the live performances of 11 pop idols from THE iDOLM@STER series. Including downloadable content, the game features 74 songs the idols perform: 32 songs in original versions and 42 remixes of those songs, which have been released on several music albums.
THE iDOLM@STER 2 is a Japanese raising simulation video game in THE iDOLM@STER series. The story in THE iDOLM@STER 2 is told from the perspective of a producer in charge of leading and training a group of three pop idols to stardom and receive music awards. Its gameplay, while remaining similar to the previous title, features several improvements and differences, including changes in the roster of idol characters and the removal of online multiplayer elements. At the beginning of the game, the player meets the president of 765 Production and is tasked with creating a unit of three idols from nine of the agency's members. The player and the selected idols are also tasked by him to become nominated to the Idol Academy music awards festival and win awards within 52 weeks.

The office environment was redesigned to give it a more natural feeling, and a focus was put on "returning to the starting point" in THE iDOLM@STER series with One For All centered on growing alongside novice idols in a small talent agency.
