20 Games Like Shox: Rally Reinvented()

"This explosive adventure is filled with intense heist missions, high stakes car battles, epic cop pursuits and jaw dropping set pieces. It’s blockbuster gameplay never before seen from the series, fueled by a gripping story of betrayal and revenge. With Need for Speed: Payback, it’s no longer just about being the first to cross the finish line or racing to prove to be the best, it’s about building the perfect ride, getting behind the wheel and playing out an action driving fantasy.

Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, players will drive as three distinct characters reunited by a quest for vengeance against The House, a nefarious cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals and cops. They will take on a variety of challenges and events as Tyler, the Racer; Mac, the Showman; and Jess, the Wheelman to earn the respect of the underground. Featuring the deepest customization from the series, players can truly craft a personalized and unique ride, or spend hours finding and tuning an abandoned derelict into a supercar. They can then push their cars to the limit and raise the stakes by betting on their own performance, where they can either multiply their winnings or risk losing it all."

You have in your hand one of the most exciting video games ever designed. One word of caution: this game takes a little time to learn because it's so challenging. It's very tricky. So, please read these directions and give yourself some practice time. Then you can aim for the World Record.

Game 1: Straight-ahead Dragster, one or two players.
Game 2: Steerable Dragster, one or two players.

Your Joystick Controller is both the clutch and gear shift for your Dragster; the red button is your gas pedal. Use left Joystick for the top car; right one for bottom car. Hold Joystick with button at the upper left.

To shift gears, clutch by pushing Joystick to the left and shift by letting the Joystick spring back to the center.

Your car starts each race in neutral (N). There are four gear positions--1, 2, 3, 4--and you must clutch and shift between each gear. You cannot downshift.

When the countdown reaches 0, you can start. If you drop into gear too soon, before the end of the countdown, EARLY will appear on the screen and you have to wait for the next race. You can clutch during the countdown, but you cannot drop into 1st until the countdown reaches 0.

The object of Dragster is to beat your opponent across the screen, or to race against the clock for best time.

WRC - FIA World Rally Championship is a car racing video game based on the 2010 season of the World Rally Championship (WRC). It is the first game to be officially licensed by the WRC since 2005's WRC: Rally Evolved, and is the seventh game to bear the WRC licence. The game was developed by Milestone S.r.l. and published by Black Bean Games. It was released in Australia on October 7, 2010, October 8, 2010 in Europe, and April 14, 2011 in Japan for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.[1] The developer had also created Superstars V8 Racing and Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano.

It features the official cars, drivers and co-drivers from the 2010 season and from the three support classes: Production World Rally Championship, Super 2000 World Rally Championship and Junior World Rally Championship. The game therefore includes 13 rallies, including Rally Finland and Rally de Portugal. 550 km of stages are included, split up into 78 special stages.

There is also a downloadable car pack featuring many Group B rally cars from the 1980s available via Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store.

Car models contain around 50,000 polygons.[2] The PC version of the game does not support Multiplayer LAN mode, it supports single player, a party mode on the same PC and Online Multiplayer using a GameSpy account.

The game had mixed reviews. It was summarised as "a true rally simulation. Despite the technical issues, WRC gives good driving sensations and a perfect feeling of the terrain", and noted that "It's no Richard Burns Rally and nor does it hold a light to Codemasters' DiRT games, but WRC is a surprisingly enjoyable take on the sport that gets the fundamentals right." It got to number 9 in the UK sales charts.[6]

The music for the arcade game was composed by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, while the Sega Saturn port's soundtrack was done by Naofumi Hataya and the Guitar were played by Joe Satriani.
