Souldiers is a well-rounded Metroidvania. It ticks all boxes to be a great game, but it has some faults that hold it back a little, like the lack of responsiveness of controls from time to time, lack of proper reward for exploration, the way some enemies are set up or the terrible loading times for a game were we die a lot.
Even so, it deserves a positive grade.
- Magnificent art style.
- Old-fashioned exploration and mechanics.
- The somewhat mix between rogue-lite and Metroidvania.
- Loading times.
- Controls inputs.
- Slow progression.
