The PlayStation's first baseball game from EA Sports continues the Triple Play series introduced on the 16-bit Sega Genesis. Featuring both MLB and MLBPA licenses for authentic teams and players, Triple Play 97 also includes 28 accurately modeled stadiums from both leagues. View the action from on the mound or from a perspective behind home plate as you time your swings to make contact. While both team and individual player ratings are based on the 1995 season, the game includes 1996's opening day rosters and schedules. Compete in the following play modes: Exhibition, Series, Playoffs, Home Run Derby, All-Star, and Season. Trade and create players, monitor injuries and pitcher fatigue, and battle through hot and cold streaks while leading your favorite team to the pennant. Up to eight players can compete with the Multi-Tap accessory.
Triple Play 98 features all 30 major league stadiums, but not all 30 team rosters. This game was released prior to the expansion draft of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Their team logos are included and the rosters can be filled from a list of free agents.
Six modes of play include: exhibition, season, playoffs, home run derby, all-star, and practice. Trading players and the ability to create your own are two available options.
Many stats are tracked through season play and plenty of camera angles are available during gameplay. Play by play is provided with color commentary by announcers Jim Hughson and Buck Martinez.
Triple Play 98 requires one to five memory card blocks to save a game.

Triple Play 2002 features Single Game, Season and Playoff modes in addition to the new Home Run Derby mode. In Home Run Derby Mode, players can compete in an eight-player elimination tournament and try to hit as many home runs as possible before getting 10 outs.
Behind the microphone for Triple Play 2002 will be a new broadcast team: award winning broadcaster Bob Costas doing play-by-play with color commentary provided by ESPN Baseball Tonight analyst Harold Reynolds.

Sensible World of Soccer was designed and developed by Sensible Software as the 1994 sequel to their 1992 hit game Sensible Soccer which combined a 2D football game with a comprehensive manager mode. All the players in all of the teams from all of the professional leagues in the world from that time are included, as well as all of the national and international competitions for all club and national teams around the world. Altogether there are over 1,500 teams and 27,000 players included in the game. Although the gameplay is very simple (just eight directions and one fire button needed) a large variety of context sensitive actions can be performed easily without any predefined keys.

MVP is EA Sports' replacement for the aging Triple Play series. Re-written from the ground up, this rookie title includes a Homerun Showdown (not a derby - something a little different) and Franchise mode as well as the usual exhibition games. Many custom batting and pitching animations as well as vendors hawking hot-dogs and hecklers shouting player and team specific heckles - all in an effort to submerse you in the game.
The 2004 installment in Acclaim's long-running baseball series. The game features more than 80 new features and improvements, including a deeper, more customizable franchise mode. The biggest change comes in the interface. You still hit the same buttons to swing, bunt, steal, and field, but the batting cursor has been visually altered. It's still the same triangle shape as before, just with a different outline. Bunting is more unique, though. Instead of aiming the cursor when you go to bunt, a large arrow points on the ground. Aim your bunt in the desired direction and hope for the best. Fielding has also received a slight change, with the ball cursor changing color. Four up to four players.
All-Star Baseball 2002 has the complete 2001-2002 MLBPA rosters. You may choose to play as one of the current teams, or you can go back to the past and play as people like Nolan Ryan or Reggie Jackson. You can also create your own player and/or team.
The featured game modes are Quick Play, Exhibition, All-Star Game, Season, Series, Home Run Derby and Batting Practice. Batting is cursor based, and you can choose between a power or a contact swing - for the latter there are even more options available, e.g. trying to hit the opposite field. Batting is similar in as you choose your itching style (every athlete can have up to six in his repertoire) and then choose the location.
