The game is lorded as one of the quintessential rpgs of our time and I can't agree with this. I have played and enjoyed games which have been driven by their good story but in these cases, the gameplay is at least average, however Xenoblade has one of the worst combat experiences I've finished to fruition, stuffed to the brim with with what feels likes an endless bombardment of side quests in huge maps that are slow to navigate.
