A list of all games completed by IntoxNitram in 2017, list part of the thread at Gaming Latest
1.Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014)
Started playing a long time ago, back in 2016, but stopped playing early on as I wasn't having fun. Returned in early January and knocked the difficulty down a touch. It made it a lot more enjoyable for me, helped by the story really getting going. Can understand the love for this game.
2.Batman: The Telltale Series (2016)
Plagued with poor performance issues on the PS4. I suffered 3 crashes and constant frame rate dips that would have made it impossible to play if it wasn't a story driven, dialogue based game. Despite the technical shortcomings I found the story itself quite interesting as a fan of Batman.
3.Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (2015)
Not my favorite Resident Evil game, but a decent one. I completed all episodes as well as the two bonus ones included on disk. It was decent all around. The story I would argue is a weak point, but gameplay was mainly fun.
4.Ratchet & Clank (2016)
A solid game overall. It was a fun experience all round and there was some funny dialogue here and there. A great remake which puts gameplay first and achieves this massively. The weapons are unique and fun and encourages you to swap your weapons mid-fight. Highly recommended.
5.Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)
I played the remastered version on the PS4 and really enjoyed the story. It is obvious to see how the gameplay has developed, as I played Arkham Knight before this so the combat and movement felt less free. Overall a good game though.
6.Heavy Rain (2010)
Completed the PS4 remaster of Heavy Rain in April. Overall a very good game, but I think this type of game is loved by some and hated by others given the fact that the gameplay is pretty much holding buttons or quick time events. The story was solid but seemed to have some flaws. Not a bad game by any means though.
7.The Order: 1886 (2015)
The only real complaint I can have for this is that it was short. Even that wasn't too bothersome for me, I still felt like it provided a good story with some really interesting weapons and combat. The graphics were stunning and the voice acting was superb. Definitely better than most reviews suggest in my opinion. I really hope a second entry will appear (given the cliffhanger-ish ending) which maybe produces a slightly longer game with things more fleshed out.
First time playing this game as I didn't get into Call of Duty until after. I mainly pick up these games for the campaign and then just mess around in multiplayer for a little bit until I get bored. It was a good campaign and I would say it was a very good remaster job - the game didn't really feel dated in any way to me and didn't seem like an old Call of Duty game.
9.Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)
I completed the campaign of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It was one of the better Call of Duty campaigns I have played, but there wasn't anything special in it either. Decent enough story, but I wish the villain was in it more (the guy who plays Jon Snow in Game of Thrones) as his screen time was rather limited. The story ended on a way I didn't exactly expect as well. Decent campaign overall.
10.Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013)
I had previously already completed the game on Xbox 360, I felt the need to play the game on PS4 since that is the device I now use exclusively. It was a decent campaign as wasn't that boring to play through a second time. A typical Call of Duty campaign though - expect high octane action and not much else. A solid 7.
11.Watch Dogs 2 (2016)
After really enjoying the first Watch Dogs I was looking forward to this title. I think the way the game came across was very different - this tried to implement humor which I think worked well. Well worth playing in my opinion.
Completed A New Frontier as the episodes came out. Would say about on par with the second season but would have been much better if I got to play as Clem like in the previous stories as she was the only character I kind of had a care about. Glitches in the game ruined some experiences (characters who had died would appear on screen on some scenes, etc)
13.Batman: Arkham City (2011)
A very good title and my 3rd Batman game of the year. I enjoyed this, probably not as much as Asylum as I liked the more controlled/directed approach of the first. This was still very solid and a fun game to play. I may return to complete the DLC at some point soon however I am currently not majorly interested in doing so.
14.Beyond: Two Souls (2013)
Fantastic game, technically better than Heavy Rain in every way I would say. I enjoyed this one much more even though I did also love Heavy Rain. Enjoyable experience and something I can see myself replaying in the future.
Completed Deadpool for PS4 as it was relatively cheap preowned and was a short game. I enjoyed it a fair bit, a good game to just have a bit of fun with and laugh about. Some jokes were poor but overall it was a pretty funny package that I got a few hours of enjoyment out of. Gameplay was uninspired and technically the game was a bit of a mess, constant performance drops which lowered the experience a little bit. Overall it was decent enough though.
16.The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (2014)
Played this mainly because I thought the graphics were excellent when I saw the game first announced. The story was somewhat interesting, but wasn't enough to really call it a game or suggest purchasing. If you are that interested I would suggest watching a gameplay video.
17.Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (2014)
I think this is a game I got cheap one day. Saw it on my PS4 and decided I would play it after seeing it wasn't too long. I overall enjoyed the game, I think the puzzles were decent although usually pretty easy. Nice 6 or so hour game.
18.Transformers: Devastation (2015)
Didn't particularly enjoy this, wasn't a bad game but got boring a little bit in my opinion. Managed to complete a full game as Optimus Prime but I have no intention on getting the trophies for playing as the other transformers.
Decided to play the standalone DLC as it was free with PS+. I really enjoyed the main game (Black Flag) and craved more. This wasn't as good but was still decent and overall a good story which gets into what happened to one of the main characters from the game.
20.Late Shift (2017)
Tried this because it was in the sale and fancied trying something different. I don't think the medium will catch off at all but it was a cool enough concept that I personally didn't mind too much.
21.Call of Duty: WWII (2017)
Played through the campaign as I tend to like them in CoD games. I found this to be very good overall. Good story and a great FPS game. I will now be playing lots of multiplayer in the game.
Another mediocre Telltale effort. Starting to get bored of their formula but got this completed. 6/10. They need to change something up or work on less games at a time to higher the quality of them.
23.Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (2015)
Having enjoyed my time with the main game, I decided to play the standalone DLC. It was good fun, not as memorable as the main game but still decent fun overall. Pretty short but worth playing. Wasn't a huge fan of the supernatural bits but it was okay.
24.Tearaway: Unfolded (2015)
A unique little game. Played it as I got it free with PS+ at some point. I thought it was decent, well crafted. Overstayed it's welcome a little bit for me in the end though (maybe just played too much trying to complete it in one sitting though)
A relatively enjoyable game. Think it was decent, but not perfect like it seemed some people were making out. I found towards the end the fights got repetitive, enemies were bullet sponges at times and the fights went on too long. Felt it needed something to break it up a little bit. That said, I really enjoyed my time overall.
